Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age of 18 years or older; first HIV diagnosis which is not older than six months; cognitive and linguistic ability to understand the study and the questions asked in this context; written consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Already participating in the FindHIV study

by questionnaire: patient characteristics and structure; health care contacts before the first positive HIV test; late presentation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
by questionnaire: HIV testing behavior; disease stage and laboratory results; symptoms and illnesses prior to the first positive HIV test; assessment of the practitioner about missed diagnostic opportunities; ART resistance
