Group 1: SAFE® - Secure Attachment Family Education intervention for parents and daycare providers
daycare providers: 2 daylong group sessions to become SAFE teachers before the child enters daycare
parents: 1-day training + voluntary 1-day training on stress reduction before the child enters daycare
teachers and parents: supervision during settling in period at daycare
contents of the intervention: promotion of sensitivity using video-based sensitivity training
reflection on one's own attachment experience and potentially unprocessed trauma
psychoeducation on attachment theory and childhood development
social support by mentors
Group 2: Control group, intervention after the last measurement time (T3 = end of the first year in daycare), teachers: 2 daylong group sessions for becoming SAFE teachers
parents: 1-day training + voluntary 1-day training on stress reduction
