Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of the quality of fissure seals after 12 months - in vivo. The target criterion was retention of two pit- and fissure sealants. For this purpose, the teeth were photographed before and after the seal and reevaluated after 12 months. Sealer losses were compared to the input shots and recorded. The retention rate was divided into complete, minor loss, loss up to half and loss over half.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Other parameters were: Peripheral analysis after staining, incidence of caries, aesthetics, postoperative sensitivity. Patient satisfaction with the seal.
