Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy controls: Inclusion criteria are majority age and ability to consent. Schizophrenic patients: Inclusion criteria are majority age, ability to consent and the presence of a schizophrenia diagnosis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for healthy controls are the presence of a psychiatric disorder or the presence of a psychiatric disorder in first-degree family members. For patients there are no exclusion criteria.

Comparison of schizophrenic patients and healthy controls (with NOS1- und NOS1AP-risk gene variants for schizophrenia). Primary outcome variables: event-related potentials during working memory tasks and prepulse inhibition (EMG of the M. orbicularis oculi) of the acoustically evoked startle response
