Group 1: Intervention group: intervention according to the MANNA manual Group 2: Control group: treatment as usual for patients with anorexia nervosa

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - diagnosis anorexia nervosa - enrollment into the study before or within the first 3 days of inpatient treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - BMI (Body Mass Index) < 12 kg/m2 - comorbidities: schizophrenia or bipolar disorder - current substance abuse (other than laxatives) - patient is not able to continuously attain individual therapy sessions
