Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All: - 18 years or older Stroke: - Chronic (> 1 year), first, monolateral left-sided stroke (cortical, subcortical or both) - Paresis of one of the right upper limbs as a result of the stroke - Adequate cognitive and verbal skills to be able to give consent and participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All: subjects with impaired (and uncorrected) hearing or vision and with mental or neurological disorders Stroke patients: pain or contractures in the affected arm - Spasticity, which is increased by (attempted) movement - Significant movement restrictions in the right upper extremity - Complete separation of the cortico-spinal tract by the stroke-related lesion

| The primary goal of this study is to measure the different changes in the lateralization of ERD (event-related desynchronization) as a prominent neurophysiological correlate of motor perception. The ERD is calculated from the recorded EEG data. Data of the sample to be collected (elderly neurologically healthy persons) and data of an existing sample (young neurologically healthy persons) whose data set already exists for the same task are compared. The percentage change in ERD is the main criterion of the study. The underlying scale of the ERD is always given in µV In the group of stroke patients in the chronic stage, is it of primary interest whether they are subjectively able to imagine the complex visuomotor task? | — |
