Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients diagnosed with nasal obstruction due to turbinate hypertrophy, with subjective complaints of nasal passage

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Septal deviation with more than 20% airflow difference in rhinomanometry in both nostrils. 2) Chronic Sinusitis 3)Malignancies of the upper airways 4)Previous surgery of the turbinates 5)Allergic reactions on local anaesthesia

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Subjective improvement of nasal symptoms measured with 100mm analogue scales in 5 qualities (nasal blockage, crusting, nasal secretion, itching and pain) on 3d, 14d, 42d after the proecedure on both sides.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-pain and other sensations durng the procedures with a 100mm analogue scale. -Objective measurement by a blinded physician of the nasal flow with noninvasive airflow rhinomanometry on day 3, day 14 and day 42 after procedure
