Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Aim: Eradication of periodontal pathogens, predefined maximum observation period of three months starting immediately after treatment. Microbiological sampling 2, 5 and 9 days after treatment. Verification of periodontal pathogens by PCR. If at least one of the previously proven periodontal pathogens is still not detectable after 9 days additional appointments for microbiological sampling were scheduled 6 weeks and three months after treatment.
