The basis for this are the six skills of self-management, covering all important aspects of this topic. Based on the transcribed interviews, which are carried out in the semi-structured and narrative style, the observation protocol of the environment or abnormalities and the listed family constellation to determine how well or how bad the self-management works from the point of view of the relatives. It also aims to arouse the understanding of which motives the relatives support, whereby they provide exactly support, how they feel about it and what kind of support they need. | — |

| The ultimate goal is to promote understanding of relatives in the self-management of drainage. In addition, the results could be used to derive possible support needs, such as inadequate information sharing or guidance through emotional components such as insecurity, anxiety, etc., which in turn should be minimized or even eliminated. From this, for example, new training programs can be developed. Based on the results of the present project, important information can be obtained for this intervention development (education of patients and relatives) that could be of great benefit, especially with regard to the family. | — |
