Group 1: Hip endoprosthesis with an Optimys shaft.
Clinical and radiographic follow-up visits are performed after discharge, 3 months and one year postoperatively.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -Body weight less than 110 kg -HTEP required
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Body weight greater than 110 kg • Postinfectious condition at the hip joint • cancers • Alcohol or drug addiction • permanent cortisone therapy • Clinically relevant infection • Previous procedures such as remodelling osteotomy or HTEP on the affected hip joint • acute or past fractures on the affected hip joint (at the present denture camp) • anatomies with more than 50% shortened femoral neck, z. B. Morbus Perthes • Rheumatoid arthritis • Patient is not available for follow-up
