Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - the presence of a bvFTD (behavioral variant Frontotemporal Dementia) diagnosis in the family member to be cared for, diagnosed by aspecialist - the dyad (relative with dementia, caregiver) lives together in a household or spends at least four hours a day time together on average - the relative caring for the person with bvFTD is the primary caregiver - the dyad is living in Central Germany
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - insufficient knowledge of German - parallel participation of the primary caregiver in another intervention study - presence of a serious psychiatric illness of the primary caregiver - presence of a different form of FTLD (Frontotemporal lobar degeneration) of the person with dementia than bvFTD

| The primary outcome of the study is the dyadic quality of relationship between the person with bvFTD (behavioral variant Frontotemporal Dementia) und his/her primary caregiver and will be measured at T0, T1 and T2 by questionnaire (rating of the primary caregiver). | — |

| The following secondary outcomes will be measred at T0, T1 and T2: - positive and negative affect of the Person with dementia (proxy rating by primary caregiver) - challenging behaviour of the Person with bvFTD (behavioral variant Frontotemporal Dementia) (proxy rating by primary caregiver) - sensitiveness of the primary caregiver of the person with bvFTD (video sequences will be rated by researchers by means of an observation instrument) | — |
