Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age >65 years Visually impairment and schedue for ophthalmic surgery (Pars plana Vitrectomy) Absence of preoperative cognitive impairment <7 points on 6CIT scale
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Age 7 points Known dementia Neurologic disease with cognitive impairment Cerebral insult <3 months prior study inclusion

| To evaluate the influence of a short term anaesthesia (60 to 90 minutes) on cognitive function in visually impaired patients Tests: - 6-CIT -- Six Cognitive Item Test -- Screnning on preoperative cognitive dysfunction - MoCA blind: Montreal Cognitive Assessment for the blind - CFQ: Cognitive failure questionnaire MoCA and CFQ will be applied to detect POCD. Both tests will be performed the day before surgery, on postoperative day 3 and 2-3 weeks after surgery. | — |
