Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Retrospective inclusion of patients with spinal stenosis and steep facet joint angels of <35° who underwent minimally invasive bilateral partial hemilaminectomy with bilateral crossover decompression between October 2016 and October 2017.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Lumbar spinal stenosis with at least one of the two facet joint angles =35°.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of subscales "Symptom severity scale" and "Physical function scale" of the Swiss Spinal Stenosis Questionnaire by 0.5 points at least 3 months postoperatively compared to preoperative.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Clinical and neurological status at least 3 months postoperatively compared to preoperative: questionnaires (ODI, VAS, SF-8), maximum walking distance, neurological examination. Recording of complications and reoperations.
