Interventions

Group 1: For the included patients, a CT scan with the equivalent X-ray dose and an MRI of the hand are performed on the same day.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Complete orientation - Adult patients - X-ray diagnosis of the hand already done, with clinical issues remained open - Clinical indication for a CT examination of the hand

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Not able to consent - underage - Pregnant - Contraindications for MRI: o Pacemakers, insulin pumps, neurostimulators, pain pumps or cochlear implants o Great tattoos or piercings o claustrophobia

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Carpal fracture. After all examinations are complete this will be evaluated by blinded, independent readers (radiologists).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Fracture classification, joint involvement, intra-articular fragments, degeneration, cysts, and accompanying findings.
