Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients in need of one or several dental implants.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients fulfilling the following criteria were excluded from the present study: Patients younger than 18 years, patients not legally competent, patients with electrical active implants (e.g. pacemaker or cochlear implants), patients with electrical passive implants not considered to be safe for nuclear magnetic tomography, patients without residual teeth in the implant region (maxilla or mandible), patients with a possible conflict of interest because of a participation in another clinical study, patients with decease which will prevent an dental implant implantation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of spacial accuracy of the implant planning and operation transfer based on nuclear magnetic tomography implant planning. The results will be compared with x-ray-based planning and digitalized precision impressions. Rotation and translation of implant axis and position will be evaluated.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Correct prediction of the implant type and need and type of bone augmentation.
