Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In order to be included in the study, each subject must: - be between 12-18 years old - receive and sign a written consent form and subject information before participation - wear a fixed conventional MBA (metal bracket appliance) in the upper and lower jaw - have teeth 16-26 and 36-46 and these should be completely broken through - after the levelling phase well aligned dental arches without narrow spaces, rotations and gaps - have inserted at least OK/UK rectangular wires - have rubber ligatures (so-called Alastics) - have a good general state of health - agree not to participate in any other clinical study for the duration of this study - agree not to have additional professional tooth cleaning performed externally 4 weeks before the start of the study and during the duration of the study - maintain his previous manual or electrical brushing habits - agree to return for the planned clinical visits and to follow the study procedure and study requirements.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subjects will be excluded from participation in the study if: severe periodontal diseases characterized by purulent exudates, tooth mobility, and/or gingival retraction (recession), there is strong gingival swelling or a strongly irritated gingiva prone to bleeding - increased caries activity has been diagnosed by the present OPTG (orthophantomogram) - teeth are not well aligned - esthetic/tooth-coloured brackets or self-ligating brackets are used - an antibiotic was taken two weeks before the start of the study - the patient is a smoker - syndromes and general diseases or other anomalies are known - other objections to study participation exist in the opinion of the treating dentist.
