Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Planned mandible resection & reconstruction with a DCIA flap at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Informed consent - No orthopedic, neurologic, vascular medical precondition of the lower limbs - at least 18 years of age

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known neurologic, orthopedic, vascular medical precondition of the lower limbs, musculoskeletal pain, reduced mobility preoperatively

MeasureTime frame
Maximum peak power (W/kg) measured via jumping mechanography (1 single 2 leg jump of maximum height) before and after surgery

Isolated Force of the leg, force efficiency, jump velocity (all side parameters of jumping mechanography) balance ability (body sway: one leg stand on ground force reaction plate) Range of Motion (Hip joint and spine) (goniometer) Harris Hip Score (subjective and objective parameters (range of motion, pain, gait analysis) Sensory Limitations (clinical examination) measured before and after surgery
