Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Household need to have a latrine (defined as pan, pit); In each household one randomly selected adult member will be interviewed at baseline and endline.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome is the change over time in the relative number of adult household members who use the latrine for defecation. Latrine use will be measured at baseline, prior to the interventions and at endline, 2 months after the intervention in all study households through a households roster, administered through face-to-face interviews

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change over time in the relative number of children whose feces are safely disposed. Measurement same as primary outcome. 2. Change in behavioral factors over time related to latrine use. Measurement through likert-scale and binary items administerd through face-to-face interviews
