Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| According to the cross-sectional design, all primary endpoints are assessed at one measurement time point. All neuropsychological testing procedures (total duration about 90 minutes) will be conducted before the determination of maximal oxygen uptake (duration about 35 minutes). In order to prevent daytime depended fatigue effects, all measurements will be completed before 18.00 pm. - maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) measured by spiroergometry - Results of neuropsychological testing procedures: -- Signal-Detection (SIGNAL): long-term focused attention -- Reaction Test (RT): reaction time for multiple-choice reactions -- Adaptive Matrices Test (ATM): logical reasoning as a dimension of generell intelligence -- Visual Pursuit Test (LVT): visual selective attention and orientation -- Response Inhibition (INHIB): Response Inhibition -- Stroop Interference Test (STROOP): Color-word interference, interference tendency and reaction time in reading words and naming colors -- Trail Making Test (-A und -B): Attention (part A) and cognitive flexibility (part B) -- 5-Point Test: divergent thinking and figural fluency -- Determination Test (DT): attention and reaction speed | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| - Heart Rate - respiratory quotient - Watt/kg (Bodyweight) - Big-Five Structure Inventory (BFSI): Assessment of the Big-Five dimensions of personality All secondary endpoints are assessed at the same measurement time point as the primary endpoints. First, the assessment of the Big-Five dimensions of personality will be conducted before finally the exercise physiological parameters will be captured. | — |
