Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Within the past two years: regular exercise training (at least once per week), sport club activities or daily physical activity related to personal transport (e.g. cycling). Neurological, psychiatric or cardiovascular diseases, left-handedness, MRI exclusion criteria.

MeasureTime frame
MR-related changes over six months regarding brain structure, brain metabolism, brain activation patterns during pain processing, associative memory encoding, processing of emotional faces and executive control in a flanker paradigm.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Cardiovascular fitness before and after six months duration (VO2max, Blood Lactate Profile Curves); behavioural effects of pain perception, memory encoding, affect processing and executive control function.
