Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Terminally ill with a life expectancy = 12 months, = 18 years, able to give consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Life expectancy < 1 week, cognitive impairment, poor german knowledge

Measure	Time frame
Inclusion of 120 patients that have at least filled out the demoralization scale once and whose data is evaluable. Primary outcome is to test the feasibility of repeated measurement of the demoralization scale with inpatient palliative patients (rate of study participants for whom a second value can be collected)	—
