Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Construct validity: We expect a high correlation of the CPAx (Chelsea Critical Care Physical Assessment tool) with the prevalence of a ICUAW (Intensive Care Unit Acquired Weakness). Consequently, we test the hypothesis, that the CPAx correlates with the diagnostic tool for ICUAW: the Medical Research Council sum score. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 2. inter-rater reliability of the CPAx (Chelsea Critical Care Physical Assessment Tool) (min. n=20, randomised, patients will be assessed by two to three raters at the bedside (blinded assessors) 3. internal consistency of each CPAx (Chelsea Critical Care Physical Assessment Tool) item (Cronbachs alpha) 4. prognostic validity for a positive outcome, defined as a return to home 90 days after critical care discharge 5. responsivity (ceiling and floor effects, minimal clinical important difference) | — |
