Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Definite diagnosis of orthostatic tremor; Written informed consent of the patient; Patient's ability to cooperate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All neurological or orthopedic comorbidities that impair postural control

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Tremor intenstity during standing and walking (first part of the examination) and tremor intensity during standing once with and once without vibratory muscle stimulation (second part of the examination) recorded via surface EMG of the following leg muscles: tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius, biceps fermoris, vastus medialis

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Body sway and gait stability during standing and walking (first part of the examination) and body sway during standing once with and once without vibratory muscle stimulation (second part of the examination) Body sway is examined on a force platform. The following body sway parameters will be assessed: Sway area, sway amplitude, and sway velocity. Gait stability is examined on a pressure-sensitive treadmill. The following gait parameters will be analyzed: Mean and coefficient of variation of stride time, stride length, and base width.
