Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) participation in clinical studies „Root cover- age with bioabsorbable membranes and connective tissue grafts" (RATKA-KRÜGER 1999) and „Ten-Year Results After Connective Tissue Grafts and Guided Tissue Regeneration for Root Coverage“ (NICKLES 2010), (2) written inform consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Disease or condition (e.g. valvuar transplant) which cause transitory bacteremia (e.g. pocket probing depths or attachment loss) and make an antibiotic prophylaxis necessary

Design outcomes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
(1) attachmentlevel after 6, 120 and 240 months (measured with a periodontal probe PCPUNC15 in mm), (2) periodontal probing depth after 6, 120 and 240 months (measured with a periodontal probe PCPUNC15 in mm), (3) width of gingiva after 6, 120 and 240 months (measured with a periodontal probe PCPUNC15 in mm), (4) sensory parameters at the palate after 6, 120 and 240 months (contact and temperature assessed with a glass bar heated in water)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
(1) absolute root coverage after 6, 120 and 240 months, relative root coverage in percent and portion of teeth with complete root coverage, (2) patient-centered outcomes (individualized questionaire)
