Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patientes from included wards

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: For the hospital microbiome part of the study: Patients who are who are incapable of giving consent.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of nosocomial infections between July 1st 2017 and August 31st 2018. Is incidence is measured within the 4 months following a wash-in phase in each case. The time interval of the wash-in phase is not included in the outcome analysis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Surface colonization rate of S. aureus, E. coli, K. pneumoniae, Enterococcus spp. and C. difficile on standardisied surfaces in relation to different cleaning regimens. The colonization is measured weekly during the complete study period.
