Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age > 18 years experienced skiers no history of knee surgery, knee pain or preexisting knee damage written consent of participants

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age < 18 years incapacitation undergone knee surgery history of knee pain or preexisting knee damage common contraindications for mri examination (e.g. cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, insulin pump, implanted magnetic clips, cochlear implant, pregnancy, permanent make up, large tattoos) instable medical condition making a mri examination impossible claustrophobia

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Changes of T2*-relaxation times in knee cartilage (femoropatellar und femorotibial) between baseline before skiing and during/after skiing

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Differences of the T2*-relaxation times between a regular ski binding system and ACTRI F. Changes ot thickness of cartilage layer during skiing and correlation of cartilage thickness with T2*-values.
