Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Is there a significant gain of further information about bone and/or soft tissue damage in MRI compared to CT/X-Ray in patients with pelvic and/or acetabular fracture? Retrospective data collection from patients of the Bundeswehrkrankenhaus Ulm in 2013-2015. Analysis via Excel (contingency tables, graphics). The aim is to show what kind of patients received a MRI and further to examine if these patients took advantage oder those without MRI (measured by parameters like the gain of information in MRI after CT/X-Ray, consecutive change of therapy, length of hospital stay and outcome). From these results it might be possible to deduce an algorithm for diagnostics in patients with pelvic/acetabular fracture in daily routine. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Are there different modes of therapy in patients with pelvic ad/or acetabular fracture with MRI compaired to those without (only CT/X-Ray)? Do the two groups (with vs. without MRI) differ in their post-clinical outcome? Data collection and analysis are also carried out via Excel. | — |
