Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Histologically proven adenocarcinoma of the colon - preoperative UICC stage I-III for scheduled surgery in curative intention - Localisation coecum, ascending colon and hepatic flexure - Pathologic stages UICC I-III - Age >18 years - Complete informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Colon Carcinomas distal to the hepatic flexure - Multiple carcinomas - Polyposis syndromes (FAP, Peutz-Jeghers S., Cronkhite-Canada S, Gardner S) - other maligne conditions excluding basaliomas - infammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, indeterminate colitis) - emergency operations - previous colon surgery - impossible informed consent - UICC stage IV - previous Chemo- or Radiotherapy - severes resepiratory or cardial insuffuciency, (NYHA IV), O2-Therapy - terminal renal failure - Liver failure (Bilirubin 1,5 mg %) - Severe neurologic disorders - Gravidity - Contraindication against adjuvant Chemotherapy according to S3-guidelines - HIV - Hepatitis B/C - persiting bacterial infection - Rejection of data aquisition as required by the protocol
