Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: good physical and mental condition, regular participation in strength training (min. 2h/week) for at least 6 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: cardiopulmonary or neuromuscular primary diseases, acute injuries of the upper extremities, eccentric training of the upper extremities at intensities greater than the one repetition maximum during concentric contractions during the last 6 months

MeasureTime frame
The endpoint of this study will be the measurement of the muscular performance of the elbow flexor, conducted 48h after a single bout of fatigueing eccentric exercise in the intervention group respectively 48h after the first measurement in the control group. At each times the change of the elbow flexor performance will be measured as the maximum voluntarily activated force, the electrically elicited muscle force during a single stimulus and at stimulation frequencies of 20Hz and 100Hz as well as the electrically stimulated radial muscle belly displacement, while the exercise-induced muscle damage is assessed by the fatty-acid binding protein concentration in the capillary blood.
