Interventions

Group 1: Laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with previousely defined steps. For each step a critical view has been defined that needs to be accomplished before the next step can be taken.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with ceacal-, ascending- or right transverse colon cancer with UICC stages I-III. Patients must have an indication of for a colon resection according to German S3-guidelines (2013) and will thus undergo complete mesocolic excision. Patients must be at leat 18 years old and be able of informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous relevant intrabdominal surgery (not relevant: appendectomy, cholcystectomy, gynocologic operations) T4 -Carcinoma with infiltration of nighbouring structures. Emergency operations, ASA IV status

MeasureTime frame
Achievement of all critical views of safety during the named operation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Sum of all intraoperative and postoperativ complications (Dindo-Clavien >2). Length of hospital stay, in-hospital mortality, 90-day-mortality, quality of mesocolic excision in relation to the achievement of the critical views.
