Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients, suffering from diabetic retinopathy (n=250) and non-diabetic patients with an indication for a retinal surgery, other than diabetic retinopathy (macular hole, epiretinal gliosis, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, choroidal tumors) (n=250)

The aim of this study consists in the analysis of the histological, immunhistochemical, flow cytometric and molecular genetic profile of the immune cells in the eyes of patients suffering from diabetic retinopathy.
