Inclusion criteria: type 2 diabetes mellitus, overweight/obesity

Exclusion criteria: severe cardiovascular diseases

glycemic control: blood analyses pre/post intervention for determination of HbA1c, glucose and insulin physical performance: lactate diagnosis pre/post intervention as well as balance tests from Nintendo and Wydra balance test cognitive performance: Mini-Mental-State exam as well as Wiener Medizinisches Testsystem pre/post intervention
