Group 1: Group A = Insured persons in group A receive a personal invitation letter from the AOK-BW, which describes early detection measures of colorectal cancer, invites them to carry out a quantitat

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Insured persons of the AOK-BW participating in the HZV-treaty (§ 73b SGB V) since 01.April 2017 or earlier

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.) Letter from the AOK-BW to participants: • Deceased insured persons • Insured persons who have a nursing level • Insured persons with any kind of cancer diagnoses during insurance benefit (ICD = C*, D0*, D37*, D38*, D39*, D40*, D41*, D42*, D43*, D44*, D45*, D46*, D47*, D48*, D53*, D54*, D55*, D56*, D57*, D58*, D59*, D6*, D7*, D8*, D90*, Guaranty= Secured/condition after) • Insured persons where a curative colonoscopy has already been performed • Insured persons who where already addressed in another model project by the AOK-BW (see DRKS00006268) 2.) Analyses at the DKFZ: • Incorrect or implausible data to essential features in the data set

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint is the usage rate of the test offer after receiving an invitation letter, as well as the usage rate of the test offer after recieving an invitation letter with subsequent reminder in comparison to the one-time letter, respectively within one year after the initial letter.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• The rate of positive test results • The rate of performing a colonoscopy after positive test • The rate of performing a colonoscopy after a negative test • The rate of newly discovered advanced colorectal neoplasia (carcinomas, advanced adenomas) • The positive predictive value of the test • The rate of performing a screening colonoscopy in general (even without taking the test offer) within one year
