Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with brain metastases and a history of breast cancer,diagnosis of brain metastases since the year 2000.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any other malignant disease, patients with no histological verification of the diagnosis of breast cancer, patients with a neurological disease, patients with exclusively leptomeningeal disease

Identification of risk-groups for brain metastases and treatment regimens in a patient collective

-Determination of the incidence of brain metastases - Number and size of brain metastases - Location of brain metastases - Histopathological characteristics of the primary tumour and brain metastases - Sensitivity of diagnostic tools (CT, MRI) - Performance status and prognosis - Influence of treatment strategies on prognosis - Collection of tissue samples of the primary tumour, metastatic tissue and brain tissue. - quality of life after diagnosis of brain metastases - neurological function depending on treatment strategies
