Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: adult patients (males and females), preoperative written consent for oberservational study and analysis of blood samples, surgery after fracture of upper/ lower extremeties or spine, ability to fully understand nature and puposte of study, ability to meet the study requirements
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: < 18 years, insufficient knowledge of German language
