Interventions

Group 1: Within the first week after stroke the DePreS (Depression Prediction Scale) (Netherlands) or DePreS-G (Germany) will be applied (index test). 6 weeks after stroke, major depressive disorder

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Diagnosis Stroke (ICD-10 I63.-, I61.- - Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) result =18 - modified Frenchay Aphasia Screening Test (FAST) (Netherlands) or Aphasie-Schnell-Test (AST) (Germany) result =17 (age until 60 years), =16 (age between 61 and 70 years) and =15 (age from 71 years) - Speak and understand Dutch (Netherlands) or German (germany) - no diagnosed major depression and/or medication intake of antidepressants on stroke onset - not to ill to participate
