Group 1: To quantify possible risks of cardiac catherization in patients with aortic valve endocarditis on the occurrence of cerebral embolizations and renal function disorders

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients defined as ”definitely infective aortic valve endocarditis” in accordance with Duke criteria undergoing cardiac surgery,Vegetation = 1cm, Age >= 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hemodynamically unstable patients,MRI contraindication,Pregnancy

Measure	Time frame
Perform an additional cranial MRI after cardiac catherization / before surgery to quantify the occurrence of cerebral embolism as well as determination of renal function by the parameters creatinine clearance, RIFLE, AKIN, creatinine as well as urea	—

Results should provide the basis for a prospective randomized multicenter study	—
