Group 1: Supportive periodontal therapy (SPT), procurement of the patient`s agreement for using previous dental charts

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: diagnose of chronic or aggressive periodontitis, = 18 years old, active periodontal therapy performed at the department of Conservative Dentistry af the University Hospital Heidelberg 5 years or longer ago, participating regular supportive periodontal therapy between June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2017, informed and written consent for including retrospective and actual dental data, complete retrospective documentation of dental data

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: no written and informed consent of the Patient, active periodontal therapy alio loco, incomplete documentation of retrospective data

sex, Age, Diagnose, systemic diseases, smoking status, implant status, splinting of mandibuar anterior teeth, number of retreated teeth, oral Hygiene indices, number of recurrence, antibiotic therapy, cost of therapy per Patient and year,, individual risk assessment (Lang and Tonetti), compliance; data were retrospectively assessed before systematic periodontal therapy, and after 1, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25 years of SPT, actual data of the SPT appointment are included if the patient interrupted SPT and was invited to participate SPT again	—
