Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Control group: Age above 50 years, sporadic sports activities or physiotherapy. Either never had back pain, or at least had no back pain with structural correlates in imaging during the last 3 years. They had to have normal muscular function Intervention group: criteria for unspecific chronic back pain, pain duration had to be more than 3 months.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The first step of the study contains measurement and analysis for differences in postural stability (measured using the MFT-S3-Check) and questionnaires (NASS, HADS, SF-36, ODI) between control group (n=50) and back pain group (n=65) at time point 0. The second step investigates postural stability between intervention groups 1 and 2 at the time points t0, after 6 weeks of therapeutic interventions and at the end of three blocks of intervention. Differences in questionnaires between intervention groups 1 and 2 at the time points t0 and after three blocks of intervention are also investigated in the second step.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Parameters from the questionnairs with influence on pain and postural stability are identified.
