Group 1: Intervention with minimalistic shoes (Leguano aktiv shoes) for 8 weeks. The study design provide a weekly continuous increase minimalistic shoe proportion. This proportion should be involved

20 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All subjects had to be between 20-60 years old, had to run more than 3 hours per week, and have had completed a 10km run in under 50 minutes in the last six month

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with any previous barefoot running experiences, or any lower extremity injuries in the last 3 months prior to the study were refused

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
running economy: VO2submax tested with a ramp test protocol on a treadmill (COSMED T 200 Quark CPET, Italy). The measurement take place at the pre and posttest (after intervention of 8 weeks)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
kinematic data are analysed using Optojump System (Microgate, Bolzano, Italy) -cadence -ground contact time -step length The measurement took place at the pre- and posttest.
