Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - in sick leave for less than 6 months during the last 12 months; - part-time or full-time insured employment (at least 15 hours per week); - contract of employment (permanent employment, fixed-term employment for another period of at least 18-months); - intention to return to work at the former company / organisation; - in treatment for a first diagnosis and maximal one further diagnosis of the following list of disorders: -> Depressive episode (F32.0, F32.1, F32.2) -> Recurrent depressive disorder (F33.0, F33.1, F33.2) -> Agoraphobia with panic disorder (F40.01) -> Panic disorder (F41.0) -> Generalized anxiety disorder (F41.1) -> Mixed anxiety and depressive disorder (F41.2) -> Adjustment disorders (F43.2) -> Burn-out (Z73) or development of a mental health problem like a burn-out
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - all other disorders not mentioned under 'Inclusion Criteria'; - any current severe somatic comorbidity; - any minor employment, further qualification, unemployment or early retirement; - no intention to return to work (e.g. to change the job, to apply for unemployment benefits) - no sufficient knowledge of the German language to be able to follow a telephone interview

| stay at work (sustainability of RTW): - working time after RTW (hours), - number and duration of sick leaves after RTW (weeks), - subjective functioning (NFAS), - job satisfaction (COPSOQ) enquiry period: t0 = at the end of the clinical treatment (quantitative and qualitative) t1 = after 6 months (quantitative and qualitative) t2 = after 12 months (quantitative and qualitative) t3 = after 18 months (quantitative) The prospective study investigates the association between individual, disease-related and work-related factors and time to RTW (return to work) as well as the sustainability of a RTW among employees with common mental disorders. The factors are gathered at four points in time (t0 until t3). At the first point in time additional sociodemographic data will be recorded (age, sex, education, family status, household size, financial situation, professional career). To gather the influence factors the following instruments will be used: - individual factors: RTW-Self-Efficacy Scale (RTW-SE), Norwegian Functional Assessment Scale (NFAS), Work Ability Index (WAI), Internalized Stigma of Mental Illness (ISMI) Scale - disease-related factors: Short-Form 12 (SF-12), Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale (PHQ-8), Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-2) - work-related factors: COPSOQ (Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire) For those factors related to the RTW process, mainly new questions will be developed. | — |
