Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: o Member of high-risk-groups of hepatitis B-, C- or HIV-infection (Prostitutes, i.v. drug abuse, homosexuals) o chronical diseases of the heart (e.g. insufficincy, infarction) o chronical diseases of the lung (chronical bronchitis, emphysema) o stroke/cerebral apoplexy o epilepsy o diseases of the bone marrow o Protozoonose: Babesiose, Trypanosomiasis (Chagas-desease), Leishmaniosis o Bucellose, Rickettsiose o confirmation of hepatitis C- or HIV-infection o acute Malaria-disease o allergic asthma bronchiale o malignant neoplasias o chronical diseases of liver and kidney o Diabetes Mellitus (insulindepending) o Alcoholism o medication addiction o Stay in Britain or Northern Ireland > 6 Months between 1980 and 1996 2. restricted criteria of exclusion o Hb-value: women =125 g/l, men =135 g/l o thrombozytopenia 180mmHg; diastolic >100mmHg o puls: frequency >100/Minute o every kind of fever in the last 4 weeks o vaccination with live vaccine in the last 4 weeks, vaccination with toxoid vaccine in the last 2 days o extensive surgery in the lst 6 months o stay in endemic regions of malaria without any symptoms during or after the stay in the last 6 months o pregnancy o delivery in the last 6 months and lactation o fever o alcoholosation o taking of medication: • taking of aggregation inhibitors of thrombocytes or rheumamedication (Aspirin, Paracetamol, Ibuprofen) in the last 8 - 10 days • taking of anticoagulants: marcumar in the last 8 weeks oder heparine in the last week • taking of steroides in the last 4 weeks
