Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ICD-10 F60.31 Borderline personality disorder Habitual, current self-mutilation Imaginations to self-mutilations No psychotherapy alongside the intervention

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy Metal implants (e.g. cardiac pacemaker) Wearing metal (magnetic) and non-removable pieces of jewelry, tattoos or cosmetics Women using a copper coil as contraceptive Reduced general health Aged under 18 Severe phobia of cramped rooms (claustrophobia) Regular intake of medication (excluding L-thyroxin, statins, ACE inhibitors, oral contraceptives and antidepressants)
