Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: an age of = 6 and = 16 normal neurological findings in fetal MRI and ultrasound both parents native German speakers good language comprehension and ability to follow instructions intact vision and hearing

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: twin or multiple pregnancy history of neurological or psychiatric disease general MR contraindication

The queries regarding primary and secondary outcome do not apply to the present study. I the following, we specify the objectives of the study: 1) a positive correlation between prebirth structural lateralization of the planum temporale and childhood functional lateralization of language. 2) a positive correlation between prenatal structural asymmetry of the planum temporale and lateralization of language-related white matter bundles in childhood. 3) a correlation between prenatal anatomical asymmetry of the planum temporale and later language abilities, with a prenatal leftward asymmetry of the planum temporale significantly associated with better language abilities. 4) distributed markers beyond the asymmetry of the planum temporale that predict language functioning.
