Interventions

Group 1: observational study. Evaluation of psychological status once preoperative, one week and 5 weeks postoperativ. In addition functional status was evaluated pre- and postoperatively

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: primary coxarthritis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous hip surgery, psychiatric disorders, lack of German language skills

Hip function and psychological evaluation is performed by assessment of following scores: Harris Hip Score Allgemeine Depressionsskala, State and Trait Anxiety Inventory Resilience Scale 5 weeks after total hip arthroplasty (day of rehabilitation center discharge)	—
