Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subproject 1: Gender: Both, male and female Minimum age:18 years old Age limit:No age limit Subproject 2: Gender: Both, male and female Minimum age:18 years old Age limit:No age limit Presence of atopic dermatitis or neuropathic pruritus on one of the following localizations: - Lower leg 10cm above the malleolus lateralis - Forearm centered above the musculus brachioradialis - Shoulder blade

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subproject 1: Presence of pruritus or skin disease of any kind History of atopic disposition History of diabetes mellitus type I or II History of hepatitis B/C or HIV infection Existing neurological or psychiatric disease Allergy to local anesthesia, adhesive bandages or latex Continuous use of the following medications: antidepressants, anticonvulsives, antipsychotics Long-term use of analgesics Pregnancy (inquire about oral contraception, last menstrual cycle), breast feeding Lack of understanding of the language, reading difficulties/visual impairment Subproject 2: History of diabetes mellitus type I or II History of hepatitis B/C or HIV infection Existing neurological or psychiatric disease Allergy to local anesthesia, adhesive bandages or latex Continuous use of the following medications: Antidepressants, anticonvulsives, antipsychotics Long-term use of analgesics Pregnancy (inquire about oral contraception, last menstrual cycle), breast feeding Lack of understanding of the language, reading difficulties/visual impairment
