Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 years or older admitted to the emergency department with a clinical suspicion of uncomplicated acute appendicitis. After decision for the conservative antibiotic therapy (by the surgeon and patient) all patients have to give written informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who are not sufficiently compliant to ensure a follow-up of 12 months.
