Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Executive functions: Assessment at baseline and after 8 weeks. Measures: Specifically child adequate designed versions of the Fish flanker task (Röthlisberger, Neuenschwander, Cimeli, Michel, & Roebers, 2011), the N-back task (Drollette, E. S., Shishido, T., Pontifex, M. B., & Hillman, C. H. 2012), the simon task (Kauer & Roebers, 2012). Improvements in the executive functions are expected. Considering empirical evidence so far, small to moderate effect sizes are expected. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The secondary endpoints will be assessed at baseline and after 8 weeks. Fitness: Also small moderate effects are expected, measured with the "Deutsche Motorik Test"(Bös, 2009) and the shuttle run test (Léger et al., 1988). Behavior and attention: Assessed with the Conners 3 scale Skalen (Lidzba, Christiansen & Drechsler, 2013), we expect significant (a = 0.05) benefits for attention and behavior (small effect sizes). Quality of life: Regarding empirical evidence so far, small effects are expected for quality of life (measured with the Inventory of quality of life; Mattejat & Remschmidt, 2006). | — |
