Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients allocated to spine surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: drug therapy with: beta blocker, psychoactive drugs (incl. benzodiazepines), pregnancy ASA > 2 diabetes mellitus any known brain disorders (dementia, previous stroke...)
