Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. present written declaration of consent 2. beginning inpatient treatment or hospital stay (first 24 h) in one of the both centers in Überlingen or Berlin 3. age 18-99 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. no adequate linguistic communication possible 2. dementia or other cognitive impairmaint 3. existing pregnancy 4. participation in another study

therapeutic and preventive efficiency regarding: - risc - blood parameters (at the beginning and the end of the therapy) - drug intake - weight reduction and maintanance (daily during the inpatient stay and until 11 months afterwards by survey) - reduction of the waist circumference - blood pressure lowering (daily during the inpatient stay and until 11 months afterwards by survey) - behavioral factors before and up to 11 months afterwards by Survey - general subjective well-being - documentation of the diagnosis at the beginning of the stay

safety of the Buchinger Wilhelmi Program: - documentation of disorders and fasting crisises during the inpatient stay - effects that possibly stay in relation with the therapy are documented by survey up to 11 months afterwards - well-being: visual scalas to capture the physical and emotional well-being daily during the stay - documentation of the quality of life before and up to 11 months afterwards by Survey sequencing of the intestinal microbiota and investigation of the gut permeability lipid profile and lipoprotein subfractions
